Improving Postgraduate Quality, Hasanuddin University Holds Master's and Doctoral Curriculum Alignment Workshop at Aston Hotel, Makassar
MAKASSAR – To ensure the quality of higher education relevant to the latest regulations, Hasanuddin University held a two-day "Master's (S2) and Doctoral (S3) Curriculum Alignment Workshop based on Ministerial Regulation of Education, Science, and Technology No. 39 of 2025," from February 7 to 8, 2026.
This strategic event was held at the ASTON Makassar Hotel & Convention Center and was attended by the leadership, heads of study programs, and lecturers at Hasanuddin University. This workshop was held as a rapid response to the issuance of the Regulation of the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Permendiktisintek) Number 39 of 2025. This curriculum adjustment is considered crucial to ensure that Masters and Doctoral graduates have adaptive competencies and are in accordance with national and international standards. The atmosphere of the Masters (S2) and Doctoral (S3) Alignment Workshop which took place at the Aston Makassar Hotel. In monitoring at the location, the workshop atmosphere was dynamic and productive. The participants appeared enthusiastic in participating in group discussions (Focus Group Discussions) at their respective round tables. Academics were seen busy reviewing documents and drafting curriculum using laptops, while having intensive discussions about the ideal learning matrix.

Prof. Risma, as Director of Education at Hasanuddin University, stated that the output of this activity is the preparation of a new curriculum document that is ready to be implemented in the final semester of 2025/2026. "The goal is harmonization. We want to ensure that our Masters and Doctoral curriculum not only meets the administrative requirements of the Minister of Education and Science and Technology Regulation, but is also able to answer the challenges of research and future industry needs," she said on the sidelines of the activity. The activity, which will last until Sunday afternoon, is expected to produce a more solid postgraduate education roadmap for Hasanuddin University, while strengthening the institution's position as a provider of quality higher education in Indonesia.
