Objectives and Targets
In carrying out its vision and mission, the Master of Mathematics Study Program sets a direction that will become the program's objective (Program Objective/PO). The objective of the Master of Mathematics Study Program is to produce Master of Mathematics graduates who:
- Be devoted to God Almighty, be open-minded, and responsive to developments in science and technology.
- Master scientific principles in thinking, reasoning, behaving, and acting as a scientist in the field of Mathematics and its applications.
- Possess the ability to solve problems, develop, and apply mathematics related to Mathematical Modeling, Statistics, and Computation in various other fields of science.
- Possess the ability to conduct research and publish it, which can contribute to the development of science and technology and also improve the standard of living of the community.
The objectives mentioned above must be achieved gradually with the following targets and strategies:
Targets of Objective 1
- Students of the Master of Mathematics Study Program must be able to embody the divine nature of scientific honesty and be able to view learning as a form of worship.
- Master's Program in Mathematics students must be able to embody a learning process that focuses on theory as well as specific skills and knowledge with an emphasis on analytical and synthetic thinking.
Target of Objective 2
- Master's Program in Mathematics students must be able to master scientific principles in thinking, reasoning, attitude, and action as scientists in the field of mathematics and its applications.
- Master of Mathematics students must be able to publish their research results in reputable national and international journals.
Target of Objective 3
Master of Mathematics students must be able to apply mathematics related to mathematical modeling and computation in various other fields of science to solve problems, develop, and apply mathematics.
Target of Objective 4
Students of the Master of Mathematics Study Program must be able to improve the quality and quantity of research relevant to the development of science and community needs by publishing in reputable journals.
