Students from the Department of History, Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), Hasanuddin University, organized a film screening event titled “Accini-Cini: Bersama Menonton, Bersama Mengingat” (Accini-Cini: Watching Together, Remembering Together) on Friday, December 12, 2025, starting at 10:00 a.m. WITA at Aula Prof. Mattulada. The event featured four films as the final output of the Film and Historical Documentation course, supervised by Fajar Sidiq Limola, S.S., M.Hum., and Dr. Amrullah Amir, M.A.

The lineup included:

  • Silent, depicting the history and dynamics of leprosy survivors.

  • Harga Sebuah Kehormatan (The Price of Honor), adapted from the History Department student's thesis Menikam Karna Siri by Nurhaliza.

  • Marbo: Garis Pantai, Haris Hidup (Marbo: Coastline, Breath of Life), portraying coastal community life at Pantai Mangara Bombang.

These works demonstrate students' skills in transforming historical research into engaging visual narratives, while encouraging collective reflection on local heritage and social stories.

Dr. Amrullah Amir, M.A., course lecturer, highlighted future potential: “Moving forward, this course can be further explored by adapting more theses into films, allowing physical works to be visualized and reach wider audiences.”
