130 Unhas Tourism Students Participate in Table Manner Training: A Form of Professionalism in the Hospitality Industry
On Saturday, October 18, 2025, 130 students from the Tourism Study Program at Hasanuddin University (Unhas) participated in a Table Manner Training event held at the Dalton Hotel in Makassar.
The event was attended by 2023 cohort students taking the Accommodation Business Management course and 2024 cohort students taking the Hospitality course. The training aimed to equip students with knowledge of international dining etiquette and protocols as part of the core competencies required in the tourism and hospitality industry.
The one-day event included hands-on practice, covering table setting, use of cutlery, meal sequence, and body language during interactions at the dining table. Through this training, it is hoped that Unhas Tourism students will be better prepared, more confident, and more professional as future practitioners and leaders in the tourism and hospitality sector.
