Workshop on Optimizing the Implementation of Competency Strengthening Courses (MKPK)
Makassar, October 7, 2025 — The Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) of Hasanuddin University held a Workshop on Optimizing the Implementation of Competency Strengthening Courses (MKPK) on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 08:30 WITA in the Senate Room on the 2nd Floor of FIB Unhas. This activity was attended by faculty leaders, the head and secretary of quality assurance, the heads and secretaries of departments/study programs, representatives of PIC MBKM from all departments/study programs, and the MKPK committee of FIB Unhas.
The workshop was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Prof. Dr. Andi Muhammad Akhmar, M.Hum. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of strengthening competency-based courses to meet the needs of the times, improve graduate quality, and support the implementation of the Independent Learning and Independent Campus (MBKM) policy.
"Competency-strengthening courses must be carefully designed to meet student needs and the challenges of the workplace. Through this workshop, we hope to develop an integrated, cross-departmental strategy to strengthen the FIB curriculum," said Prof. Andi Muhammad Akhmar.
Through this activity, all participants are expected to align their perceptions, develop a more focused MKPK implementation strategy, and improve coordination across departments and study programs. This workshop represents a strategic step for the Faculty of Humanities, Hasanuddin University, in optimizing a curriculum that is relevant, innovative, and has a direct impact on improving student competency.
