Digital Manuscript Learning Session Held
Makassar, November 21, 2025 — The Department of Regional Literature, Faculty of Humanities, Hasanuddin University, conducted a Digital Manuscript Learning session as part of the Manuscript Studies course on Friday (21/11). The activity took place in Classroom 217 and was attended by all students enrolled in the course.
The session introduced students to key concepts and practical techniques in manuscript digitalization, including scanning methods, image processing, and digital archiving for the preservation of textual heritage. This initiative aims to strengthen students’ competencies in managing traditional manuscripts using modern technological approaches.
The course instructor expressed hopes that this digitalization experience will serve as valuable preparation for students pursuing studies in philology, cultural documentation, and manuscript-based research.
The session ran interactively, with students showing strong enthusiasm throughout the learning activities.
