Five Students from the Faculty of Vocational Studies, Universitas Hasanuddin, Join Mobility Exchange Student Program at POLISAS Malaysia
Makassar – The Faculty of Vocational Studies at Hasanuddin University has sent five students to participate in the Mobility Exchange Student Program at Politeknik Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (POLISAS), Malaysia. The students departed from Makassar on Sunday, July 26, 2026, and will take part in the program from July 27 to August 8, 2026.
The participants are Dirga Amrul Muslimin and Irene Renata Simanjuntak from the Food Agribusiness Study Program. The other three students, Nu Rahma Yasin, Sulham Achmad, and A. Muh. Nur Fadil, are from the Food Crop Production Technology Study Program.
Upon arriving in Kuantan, Pahang, the students are scheduled to attend the program’s opening ceremony with the POLISAS management team. The activities will continue with an introduction to the Department of Food Technology, industrial training, student activities, community service programs, and a focus group dialogue.
The students will also gain firsthand experience of the learning environment at POLISAS through classroom and laboratory sessions. The subjects include food chemistry, processing technology of plant products, statistics for food science and technology, food preservation technology, confectionery technology, and instrumental analysis.
This program provides students with an opportunity to experience vocational education in a different academic environment while expanding their knowledge and international networks. After completing the program, the participants are expected to bring home valuable insights and share their experiences with the academic community at the Faculty of Vocational Studies, Hasanuddin University
