Makassar — A proud achievement has once again been accomplished by students of the Marine and Coastal Aquaculture Study Program (BDLP), Vocational Faculty, Hasanuddin University. A team consisting of Fifi Lutfida Juniar, Aisyah Arif Billahi, and Riska Damayanti R. successfully won 1st place in the Environmental Videography category at the Forestalent 2025 event organized by the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University.
The competition, held from October 1–12, 2025, was participated in by various contestants from faculties and study programs within Hasanuddin University. Through their videographic work, the BDLP team delivered a message about the importance of preserving coastal and marine ecosystems as an integral part of global environmental balance.
This victory not only demonstrates the creativity and environmental awareness of BDLP students, but also highlights their ability to present scientific messages in a visual form that is both inspiring and easily understood by the public.
The Head of the BDLP Study Program, Dr. Marlina Achmad, expressed appreciation for the achievement. “This accomplishment proves that BDLP students excel not only in academics and aquaculture practices, but are also creative in voicing environmental issues through digital media,” she stated.
With this achievement, BDLP students are expected to continue innovating and contributing to raising public awareness about the importance of sustaining marine and coastal ecosystems—in line with the spirit of SDG 14 (Life Below Water).
