BDLP students from the UNHAS Vocational Faculty participate in the 2026 faculty-level PKKMB.

Makassar, August 12, 2026 — The Faculty of Vocational Studies at Hasanuddin University (Unhas) held its 2026 Faculty-Level Campus Life Introduction (PKKMB) program on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. Attended by the Class of 2026 new students from the Faculty of Vocational Studies, the event took place at the Unhas Hotel & Convention, located at Jl. Perintis Kemerdekaan KM 10, Tamalanrea Indah, Tamalanrea District, Makassar City, South Sulawesi.

The PKKMB event serves as an initial opportunity for new students to familiarize themselves with the academic environment, university culture, and various opportunities for personal development during their studies at the Hasanuddin University Faculty of Vocational Studies.

A key highlight of the event was a keynote session titled "Unlock Your Best Potential," featuring Yudha Prawira Hasta—a mentor and the founder of Kelas Bebas Berbicara (Free to Speak Class)—as the keynote speaker. The presentation motivated new students to identify their personal potential, build self-confidence, and develop the courage to hone their skills in facing challenges within both academic and professional environments.

The keynote session was conducted interactively, featuring a Q&A segment with the new students. This discussion allowed participants to engage directly with the speaker and gain insights into developing their potential and personal skills. The session was moderated by Vinanda Cinta Cendekia, S.Sos., M.I.Kom.

Under the theme "Unlock Your Best Potential," new students of the Unhas Vocational Faculty are encouraged to look beyond mere academic achievement and actively cultivate skills, character, creativity, communication, and adaptability—assets essential for navigating the professional world and the industry.

For new students in the Marine and Coastal Aquaculture Study Program, the orientation program (PKKMB) marks the beginning of their journey in vocational education within the marine and fisheries sector. Students are expected to make the most of their time at university to develop both technical and non-technical competencies, broaden their experiences, and prepare themselves to become professional, competent graduates.

The 2026 Unhas Vocational Faculty orientation program aims to provide a positive initial experience for the entire 2026 cohort. Driven by the spirit of "Unlock Your Best Potential," students are encouraged to discover their greatest strengths and use them as a foundation for achieving success and contributing to society and vocational development.

The Marine and Coastal Aquaculture Study Program joins in welcoming all new students of the 2026 cohort to the Hasanuddin University Vocational Faculty. Best wishes as you embark on your academic journey; may you continue to foster a spirit of growth and achievement, striving always to become the best version of yourselves.
