BDLP Students of the 2023 Batch Take Part in the Competency Test for Milkfish Seed Production Implementation Scheme

Makassar, August 8, 2026 – The Applied Bachelor Program in Marine and Coastal Aquaculture (PS. S.Tr. BDLP), Faculty of Vocational Studies at Hasanuddin University, held a Competency Test for the 2023 batch students from August 6–8, 2026. The event took place at the Competency Test Venue (TUK) of the Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries (FIKP), Hasanuddin University.

The Competency Test was attended by 20 students from the BDLP Study Program, class of 2023, under the Milkfish Hatchery Implementation scheme. This activity is part of assessing students' abilities based on the competencies they have acquired throughout their learning and practical sessions in the Marine and Coastal Aquaculture Study Program.

The competency test involves evaluating students' knowledge and skills in carrying out milkfish seed production activities. Through this process, students are given the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to apply the knowledge and skills related to the stages of milkfish seed production according to the competency units being tested.

The assessment is conducted by four assessors: Dr. Ir. Syafiuddin, M.Si., Dr. Andi Aliah Hidayani, S.Si., M.Si., Andi Nurfadilah Asnur, M.Si., and Dr. Dian Novita Sari, A.Md., S.Pi., M.Si. The assessors evaluate the participants based on the criteria and competencies required under the Milkfish Seed Production implementation scheme.

After the entire series of competency tests was completed, 20 students who participated in the tests were recommended as competent in the Milkfish Hatchery Implementation scheme. The results show that the participants have met the required competencies based on the assessor's evaluation.

The implementation of this Competency Test is expected to provide recognition of the students' skills while also strengthening their readiness to apply their abilities in fish cultivation and hatchery. This activity is also part of the efforts by the BDLP Study Program at the Faculty of Vocational Studies, Hasanuddin University, to prepare graduates who have competencies that match the needs of the workforce, especially in the field of fisheries and aquaculture.
