BDLP Vocational Unhas Alumni Start Careers in Japan, Focus on Hotate Shellfish Farming
Selayar_Proud news comes from the Marine and Coastal Aquaculture Study Program (BDLP), Vocational Faculty of Hasanuddin University. One of the first BDLP graduates in 2021, Riswan Mufli Huddin, S.Tr.Pi., has now started his professional career in Japan.
Riswan is currently working with Ogawa Daisuke in Aomori Prefecture, Japan. This area is known as one of the main centers for scallop farming, with advanced and high-standard production systems.
This opportunity to work in Japan is a first step for Riswan in developing his career in the international fisheries sector. At his workplace, he has started getting involved in scallop farming activities while also learning about the work systems and technology applied in Japan's modern fisheries industry.
This overseas work program is one of the opportunities available for BDLP graduates to develop their competencies at a global level. Alumni participation in the international industry shows that vocational education graduates are ready to adapt to the dynamic and competitive demands of the workforce.
