HIMAYALPA Participate in the Youth Pledge Day Ceremony at the Selayar Regency Government Office

Selayar, October 28, 2025 — Representatives of the Association of Marine and Coastal Aquaculture Students (Himayalpa), Study Program of Marine and Coastal Aquaculture (BDLP), Faculty of Vocational Studies, Hasanuddin University, took part in the 97th Youth Pledge Day ceremony held at the Selayar Regency Government Office Courtyard on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

The ceremony was conducted solemnly and with a strong spirit of nationalism, led by Vice Regent of Selayar Islands, Drs. Muhtar, M.M. The event was attended by representatives from local government offices, state institutions, students, and youth organizations across Selayar Regency.

The participation of Himayalpa BDLP members in this ceremony reflected the students’ commitment to honoring the historic moment that symbolizes youth unity and national spirit. Through this event, students are encouraged to strengthen their patriotism and awareness of the vital role of young generations in regional development, particularly in the marine and fisheries sectors.

The Chairperson of Himayalpa BDLP, Muh. Ihsar Amal, stated that involvement in such national events helps foster civic character and strengthen relationships between the university and local government. “We want to show that vocational students are not only skilled in technical fields but also care deeply about national values and community development,” they said.

By taking part in the Youth Pledge Day ceremony, Himayalpa BDLP reaffirms its commitment to promoting collaboration, nationalism, and integrity-driven leadership as part of the young generation ready to contribute to the sustainable development of Indonesia’s coastal and marine regions.
