Pond Survey for the Development of the BDLP Study Program Teaching Farm in Selayar
SELAYAR – The Marine and Coastal Aquaculture Study Program (BDLP) conducted a pond survey activity in Selayar Islands Regency as part of the development plan for the study program’s teaching farm. This activity aimed to directly assess the site conditions and identify the potential of the area to be utilized as a facility for student practice and learning.
During the activity, the team reviewed the condition of the ponds, the surrounding environment, and the supporting facilities available at the location. The survey was carried out to obtain an initial overview of the area’s readiness to support aquaculture activities based on practical and field-learning approaches.
This survey activity also formed part of the effort to strengthen vocational learning so that students can gain more applicable learning experiences that align with real field conditions. In addition, the surveyed location was considered to have strong potential to support the sustainable development of aquaculture activities.
Through this activity, it is expected that the development of the BDLP Study Program teaching farm in Selayar Islands Regency will become an academic support facility capable of enhancing students’ competencies while also supporting the development of the aquaculture sector in the region.
