First Graduation Ceremony for the Tourism Destinations Program

Makassar, July 15, 2025 – Baruga AP Pettarani at Hasanuddin University witnessed a historic moment for students of the Tourism Destination Studies Program in the Faculty of Vocational Studies. A total of 19 students from the first graduating class were officially conferred their degrees in a ceremony led by the Rector of Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc., who was accompanied by the Dean of the Vocational Faculty, Prof. Dr. Muh. Restu, MP.

The graduation ceremony was solemn and filled with pride. In his remarks, Rector Jamaluddin Jompa congratulated all the graduates, emphasizing the importance of students’ role in developing the tourism industry in Indonesia. “Today marks a new beginning for you. Be agents of change who can bring innovation and progress to the tourism sector,” he stated.

The Dean of the Vocational Faculty, Prof. Dr. Muh. Restu, MP, also expressed appreciation to the graduates for their hard work and dedication throughout their studies. “We are proud to have produced a generation ready to compete and make positive contributions to the tourism industry,” he added.

The graduates looked enthusiastic and hopeful, wearing their graduation gowns. With the graduation of these 19 students, the Vocational Faculty of Hasanuddin University further demonstrates its commitment to producing professionals in the field of tourism, ready to face future challenges.
