Handover Ceremony for the Vocational Education Building Grant in the Selayar Islands

Selayar, November 4, 2025 – The handover ceremony for the vocational education building in the Selayar Islands was a success, attended by the Regent of Selayar and a delegation from Hasanuddin University (Unhas) led by the Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Studies, Prof. Dr. Ir. Muh. Restu, MP. This event aimed to inaugurate the educational building, which is expected to improve access to vocational education in the region.

During the meeting held in the New Building Auditorium, the Regent of Selayar, H. Zainuddin, expressed his hope that the building would be utilized to the fullest by students in the Selayar Islands. “We greatly appreciate the collaboration with Hasanuddin University in providing this educational facility. This is a significant step forward for us in producing skilled workers ready to compete in the job market,” said Regent Zainuddin.

Prof. Dr. Ir. Muh. Restu also added that this donated building is equipped with modern facilities that support vocational learning, such as laboratories, comfortable classrooms, and practice areas for students. “We are committed to providing quality education to students in the Selayar Islands so that they can develop their potential and contribute to regional development,” he explained.
