Enlivening Unhas’ Anniversary, Chemistry Lecturers at FMIPA Join Fun Walk Event

MAKASSAR — Thousands of participants crowded the Tamalanrea Campus area of Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas) during the Fun Walk and Family Gathering, which formed part of the vibrant series of events celebrating Unhas’ Anniversary.
A strong sense of togetherness was felt from early morning, beginning with a casual walk along the campus route, joint gymnastics, followed by the cutting of the tumpeng (ceremonial rice cone), and visits to the community service exhibition. The event was further livened up by a marching band performance, a musical entertainment stage, and a series of booths from various faculties.
The event was also attended by the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Ir. H. Andi Amran Sulaiman, M.P., who also serves as the General Chairman of the Central Board of the Unhas Alumni Association (IKA). During the event, Minister Amran expressed high appreciation and praise for the rapid advancements and leaps achieved by Unhas in recent years.
The excitement was equally reflected in the active participation of lecturers and staff from the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Unhas. Wearing their signature blue-and-green uniforms, the FMIPA Chemistry lecturers enthusiastically walked the casual route and gathered warmly at the faculty booth, which was uniquely decorated with scientific periodic table ornaments.
The excitement reached its peak during the door prize drawing, featuring main prizes of two free Umrah packages that were met with cheers from all participants. Through this event, the spirit of fellowship and camaraderie among alumni, leadership, lecturers, administrative staff, and students was further strengthened.
