To become a center for the advancement of science and technology through research-based development in Electrical Engineering, focusing on IoT-controlled systems, global sustainability, and environmentally conscious technology transfer, toward becoming a leading institution grounded in the Indonesian Maritime Continent.

This vision explicitly reflects PSDTE’s aspiration not only to produce competent graduates but also to serve as an active contributor to the advancement of science and technology through research-driven innovation in the field of Electrical Engineering. The Indonesian Maritime Continent (IMC), which serves as the foundation for the development of human resources, science, technology, arts, and culture at Hasanuddin University, is understood as an integrated natural entity comprising land, sea, and atmosphere. This unique entity exhibits continental characteristics distinguished by its climate, hydrological systems, geological structure, biodiversity, and socio-cultural diversity. As such, the IMC provides a strategic framework for research, innovation, and sustainable development that addresses both national and global challenges.

The missions of the Doctoral Program in Electrical Engineering (PSDTE) are as follows:

To produce graduates in Electrical Engineering who possess extensive knowledge and broad perspectives, as well as the ability to continuously develop and update their expertise, enabling them to make active and tangible contributions to technological development and innovation.
To advance research in emerging, applied, and appropriate technologies that support global sustainability, and to generate innovative, original, and rigorously validated scientific works published in both national and international forums.
To disseminate environmentally sustainable and socially beneficial technologies that contribute to improving quality of life and preserving natural resources.
To establish and strengthen partnerships with industry, businesses, and related institutions at both national and international levels in order to enhance the quality and relevance of education, research, and graduate competencies, thereby advancing the program toward national excellence and international recognition.
