Benchmarking the Actuarial Science Study Program at Hasanuddin University with the Actuarial Science Study Program at ITB Bandung
On February 1, 2024, the Actuarial Science Study Program at Hasanuddin University (Unhas) conducted a benchmarking activity with the Actuarial Science Study Program at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). This activity aimed to improve the quality of learning, curriculum, and academic management of the Unhas Actuarial Science Study Program through the exchange of information and direct experience with one of the leading study programs in Indonesia.
The delegation, consisting of lecturers and academic staff from the Actuarial Science Study Program at Unhas, was officially welcomed by ITB's leadership and lecturers. The event began with a presentation on the profile of ITB's Actuarial Science Study Program, including its vision and mission, curriculum, learning methods, research, and student activities that support the achievement of excellent accreditation.
In addition, this activity was followed by an interactive discussion session that addressed various important aspects, including competency-based curriculum development and industry needs, the application of innovative learning methods, research management and academic publications, as well as collaboration with the insurance and finance industries and research institutions.
This benchmarking activity provided various strategic inputs for the Unhas Actuarial Science Study Program to improve academic quality, student learning experiences, and strengthen cooperation with universities and related industries. The series of activities was closed with the presentation of souvenirs and a group photo as a symbol of friendship and collaboration between study programs.
Through this activity, the Actuarial Science Program at Unhas is expected to continue to develop and compete both nationally and internationally.
