Visit by the Actuarial Science Study Program of Hasanuddin University to the Actuarial Science Study Program of the University of Indonesia, Jakarta
On February 2, 2024, the Actuarial Science Study Program at Hasanuddin University (Unhas) visited the Actuarial Science Study Program at the University of Indonesia (UI) in Jakarta. This activity aimed to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions and improve the quality of education and research in the field of actuarial science.
The delegation from the Unhas Actuarial Science Program, consisting of lecturers and academic staff, was warmly welcomed by the UI Actuarial Science Program. The event began with a presentation from the UI Actuarial Science Study Program on curriculum development, learning methodologies, and research results conducted in the study program. In addition, the presentation also discussed the collaboration between UI and the insurance industry and leading research institutions in Indonesia.
Following the presentation session, an in-depth discussion was held on various important topics, including curriculum quality improvement, the implementation of technology in actuarial education, and opportunities for joint research between the two study programs. This event also served as a forum for sharing experiences related to study program management, as well as the challenges faced in actuarial education and training in Indonesia.
Through this visit, the Unhas Actuarial Science Study Program gained valuable new insights for curriculum development and educational quality. It is hoped that this activity will strengthen the relationship between the two institutions and open up opportunities for further collaboration in the future.
The visit concluded with the exchange of souvenirs as a token of gratitude and a symbol of the growing partnership between the Actuarial Science Program at Unhas and UI. This activity also provided new motivation for the Actuarial Science Program at Unhas to continue innovating and competing in the field of actuarial education in Indonesia.
