Department of Archaeology FIB Unhas Holds Lecture Evaluation Meeting and Cross-Program Coordination

Makassar, October 22, 2025 - The Department of Archaeology, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Hasanuddin University held a Lecture Evaluation and Coordination Meeting involving elements of study program leaders, homebase lecturers, and educational staff from the scope of the Department of Archaeology and the Tourism Study Program. This activity took place in the room of the Department of Archaeology FIB Unhas, at 14.00-16.00 WITA.

The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Department of Archaeology, and attended by the Head of Study Program (KPS) S1 Tourism, KPS S2 Archaeology, homebase lecturers from S1 Archaeology, S1 Tourism, and S2 Archaeology, as well as the Head of Secretariat from both study programs. In the initial session, the Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Prof. Dr. Andi Muhammad Akhmar, S.S., M.Hum, conveyed the importance of evaluation meetings for quality improvement. This meeting aims to evaluate the implementation of lectures in the current semester, identify academic challenges, and develop coordinative steps to improve the quality of learning.

In the evaluation session, each KPS submitted a report on the progress of lectures, including learning outcomes, student attendance, and the effectiveness of teaching methods. Homebase lecturers also provided input related to class dynamics, material readiness, and curriculum strengthening needs. Meanwhile, the head of the secretariat submitted administrative and technical reports that support the smooth running of the academic process.

The discussion was constructive and resulted in a number of recommendations, including strengthening communication across study programs, coordinative scheduling between lecturers, and updating the academic monitoring system. This meeting is also a reflective space to align the vision of study program development based on collaboration and resource integration.

The activity was closed with an affirmation that lecture evaluation is not just an academic routine, but an important part of higher education quality management. Solid coordination between academic and administrative elements is the main foundation in realizing quality, adaptive, and impactful learning.
