Makassar, October 12, 2025 - Students of the Archaeology Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Hasanuddin University class of 2025 actively participated in the 2nd Anniversary of Car Free Day Unhas by presenting the field practice of the Entrepreneurship course. This activity is a place to explore creativity and the application of culture-based entrepreneurial values. This course is taught by a team of lecturers, namely Dr. Erni Erawati, M.Si and Yusriana, S.S., M.A.

A total of 10 archaeology student booths enlivened the event by presenting a variety of interesting products, ranging from specialty foods and drinks to cultural-themed merchandise. One of the products that stole the attention of visitors was a unique drink inspired by kelepon, a traditional Indonesian snack known for its sweet taste and distinctive pandan aroma. This innovation symbolizes the merging of culinary heritage and the entrepreneurial spirit of the younger generation.

This activity received a direct visit from the Rector of Hasanuddin University and the university leadership. During his visit, the Rector had a dialogue with students at each stand, gave appreciation for their creativity, and expressed encouragement and support for students to continue to develop entrepreneurial potential that is relevant to cultural identity and community needs.

This entrepreneurial practice is not only part of the learning process, but also a space for student actualization in building an entrepreneurial spirit rooted in local values. Through this activity, FIB Unhas Archaeology students showed that innovation and culture can go hand in hand in forming valuable and impactful products.

The activity was closed with a reflection on the importance of strengthening entrepreneurship as part of a higher education strategy oriented towards independence, creativity, and real contribution to society.
