Profile of the Arsari Djojohadikusumo Foundation (YAD)
YAD has its roots in the social activities of the Hashim Djojohadikusumo family, which have been ongoing for over 35 years, initiated by Mrs Anie Hashim Djojohadikusumo. In 2009, these activities were formalised into the Arsari Djojohadikusumo Foundation, with the name ‘Arsari’ being an acronym for Aryo, Sara and Indra—the three children of the Hashim family. Since then, YAD has been actively supporting programmes in the fields of education, social welfare, the environment, and culture, whilst collaborating with universities, the government, and other non-profit organisations.

Academic and Philanthropic Collaboration
The Dean of the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Hasanuddin emphasised that YAD’s support not only eases the financial burden on students but also serves as motivation to improve academic standards and social contributions. “This collaboration is a tangible expression of care for the younger generation, as well as a long-term investment in the development of knowledge and culture,” he said.

The visit concluded with an interactive dialogue between YAD officials, faculty leaders and scholarship recipients. The discussion emphasised the importance of ongoing collaboration in producing outstanding, competitive graduates who are ready to contribute to the nation, the state and society.
