The Department of Archaeology Holds a Meeting to Prepare for Lectures and the PKKMB for the 2026/2027 Academic Year

Makassar, 10 August 2026 — The Department of Archaeology, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Hasanuddin University, held two important meetings in preparation for the start of the 2026/2027 academic year. The first meeting discussed preparations for the odd-semester lectures, covering an evaluation of the previous semester’s implementation, finalisation of the timetable, and updates to the Course Syllabus (RPS) and teaching materials.  

The second meeting focused on preparations for the Campus Life Orientation Programme for New Students (PKKMB) for the Archaeology Undergraduate Programme. This programme involves lecturers, academic support staff and student volunteers as part of efforts to create an inclusive and inspiring academic environment for the 2026 intake of new students.  

Both meetings took place in the Archaeology Department’s meeting room and were chaired by Dr Yadi Mulyadi, S.S., M.A., in his capacity as Head of Department and Head of the Archaeology Undergraduate Programme. In his opening remarks, he emphasised the importance of synergy and the readiness of the entire academic community to ensure that the learning process and orientation run smoothly and meaningfully.  

This event marks the first step towards the start of the academic year, which will begin on 18 August 2026, signalling a new chapter in the academic journey of Archaeology students at Hasanuddin University.
