Study Program Vision

To become a leading study program in Mandarin language education, producing competent graduates with extensive knowledge of Chinese culture and prepared to contribute to the fields of translation, teaching, and culture.

Study Program Mission

The Mandarin Language and Chinese Culture Study Program has the following missions:

1. Provide high-quality education in Mandarin.

2. Develop advanced translation skills: Provide in-depth knowledge and skills in translation, including understanding texts in cultural contexts.

3. Provide professional Mandarin language teaching training: Provide the knowledge and skills necessary to become qualified Mandarin language teachers, including an understanding of innovative teaching methods, learning materials development, and learning evaluation.

4. Promote understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture: Teach Chinese history, literature, art, and culture to students to enrich their understanding of Chinese culture and raise awareness of cultural diversity in the global world.

5. Promote high-quality research and development in Mandarin and contribute to the fields of Mandarin language, translation, teaching, and Chinese cultural studies.

6. Building extensive partnerships and networks: Establishing collaborations with educational institutions, Chinese communities, and related organizations to expand networks, exchange knowledge and experiences, and create opportunities for collaboration and joint development.
