Learning Outcomes

The Learning Outcomes of the Mandarin Language and Chinese Culture Study Program consider both generic and specific descriptions, as well as the respective profiles of graduates as translators, teachers, and cultural experts.

The development of the CPL formulation begins with describing the skills required to carry out the roles as outlined in the graduate profile. The CPL formulation must consist of four elements:
1. Attitudes (S)
2. Knowledge (P)
3. General Skills (KU)
4. Specific Skills (KK)

Learning Outcomes for Graduates of the Mandarin Language and Chinese Culture Study Program

Attitude

Devoted to God Almighty, honest, disciplined, respectful of religious diversity, beliefs, cultures, and perspectives, as well as the original opinions or findings of others.

Knowledge

Mastery of theories of Mandarin, Chinese literature, and Chinese culture required for relevant work.

General Skills

  1. Mastery of Mandarin Chinese speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills at least Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) level 5.
  2. Think critically, work independently and in groups, and make sound decisions based on data in the context of solving problems in the fields of Mandarin Chinese and Chinese culture.

Special Skills

  1. Producing oral and written translations from Mandarin to Indonesian and vice versa.
  2. Applying various teaching methods and Mandarin-language software.
  3. Applying Chinese historical values, Chinese socio-cultural practices, and Chinese thought and morals when presenting Chinese cultural products.
