BMKT Student Internship Program Strengthened through Collaboration between FIB and Seastars Education
The Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) established a partnership with Seastars Education through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time, in the Senate Meeting Room on the 2nd Floor of FIB. This collaboration focuses on implementing an internship program for students in the Mandarin Language and Chinese Culture Study Program.
The event was attended by the Dean of FIB, Prof. Dr. Andi Muhammad Akhmar, S.S., M.Hum.; the Vice Dean II for Planning and Resources, Dr. Rosmawati, S.S., M.Si.; and the Vice Dean III for Partnerships, Research, Innovation, and Alumni, Dr. Wahyudin, S.S., M.Hum.; and the Vice Dean III for Partnerships, Research, Innovation, and Alumni, Dr. Wahyudin, S.S., M.Hum.. Also in attendance were the Head of the BMKT Study Program and BMKT lecturers. The partner, Seastars Education, was represented by Ms. Ornella Widyanto, Head of Seastars Education.
The MoU was signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Prof. Dr. Andi Muhammad Akhmar, S.S., M.Hum., and the Head of Seastars Education, Ms. Ornella Widyanto, as a joint commitment to supporting student competency development through work-based learning.
Through this collaboration, BMKT students are expected to have the opportunity to develop professional skills, apply the knowledge gained during their studies, and broaden their horizons and networks in the workplace. This internship program also serves as part of efforts to strengthen graduate readiness to be more adaptable and competitive.
The collaboration between FIB and Seastars Education is expected to provide sustainable benefits for students' academic and professional development, particularly within the BMKT Study Program.
