Oral Traditions, Indonesian Cuisine, and Gastronomic Tourism

The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) will hold a three-day Research FGD event with the theme "Stories in Dishes: Culinary Oral Traditions as a Potential for Sustainable Gastronomic Tourism." This event will take place from November 24 to 26, 2025, in a hybrid format at the Widya Graha 701 building, BRIN Gatot Subroto, South Jakarta, as well as via Zoom Meeting.

The event, which highlights culinary oral traditions, will feature six experts, including the Head of the Department of Regional Literature, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Muhlis Hadrawi, S.S., M.Hum, who is also a philologist. T

his Research FGD is expected to be one of the efforts to preserve traditional Indonesian cuisine, in particular from South Sulawesi.
