Makassar – The Regional Literature Study Program of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Hasanuddin University (FIB Unhas), held its First Quarterly Meeting on Wednesday (January 28, 2026) as part of its efforts to strengthen collaboration among the academic community, alumni, and student organizations. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Regional Literature Alumni Association (IKA), Aswad Syam, S.S., M.Ak., the Chairman of the Regional Literature Student Association (IMSAD FIB Unhas), Arya Adrian, as well as lecturers and students of the Regional Literature Study Program.
The meeting served as a strategic forum to foster closer communication and align various development initiatives planned for 2026. Key agenda items included the evaluation and planning of quarterly programs, strengthening alumni networks, and organizing academic and cultural activities aimed at preserving and promoting regional languages and cultures.
During the discussion, Aswad Syam emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration between alumni and the academic community. He noted that alumni involvement plays a crucial role in supporting the development of the study program while also expanding professional networks and opportunities for students and graduates.
Meanwhile, Arya Adrian reaffirmed the commitment of students to actively contribute to the preservation and promotion of regional languages and cultural heritage. Through innovative and impactful programs, students are expected to play a significant role in safeguarding local traditions amid the challenges of globalization.
