Ikatan Mahasiswa Sastra Indonesia (IMSI) KMFIB-UH

The Indonesian Literature Student Association (IMSI) was officially established on October 17, 1983, based on the decree of the Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Hasanuddin University. IMSI is founded on the principle of kinship and is based at the Hasanuddin University Campus, Tamalanrea. Initially, IMSI was under the auspices of KMFS, before the Faculty of Literature changed its name to the Faculty of Cultural Sciences.

IMSI KMFIB-UH aims to improve the quality and abilities of its members in both academic and organizational fields, in order to realize the Tri Dharma of Higher Education: education, research, and community service.

As part of the Indonesian people, the students of Indonesian Literature at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Hasanuddin University, are aware of their rights and obligations to contribute to the development of knowledge, both inside and outside the campus, in order to defend and uphold independence. Based on sincerity and awareness of this responsibility, Indonesian Literature students unite themselves in an organization called the Indonesian Literature Student Association (IMSI).

IMSI is one of the Department Student Associations (HMD) under the umbrella of the Student Family of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Hasanuddin University (KMFIB-UH). Throughout its journey, IMSI has consistently maintained a vision, mission, and organizational structure that adapts to the needs and goals of each leadership period.

In addition, IMSI also oversees two internal bodies:

  • Lentera Kita, a platform for publishing and developing student writings.
  • SPaSI (Serikat Pecinta Seni Sastra Indonesia), a forum for art enthusiasts focusing on creativity and appreciation of literary arts.
