Indonesian Literature Department of Unhas Promotes MKPK Implementation Through Internship at Harian FAJAR
MAKASSAR – The Head of the Indonesian Literature Department, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Hasanuddin University (Unhas), Dr. Muslimat, M.Hum., together with the Department Secretary, Dr. Indarwati, S.S., M.Hum., visited the editorial office of Harian FAJAR on December 10, 2025. The delegation was warmly received by Basri Abbas, senior journalist of FAJAR.
The visit aimed to ensure that the internship program for Indonesian Literature students at Harian FAJAR runs smoothly. The students are scheduled to carry out their internship until February 2026 as part of fulfilling the requirements of the Competency Strengthening Course (MKPK).
MKPK is a compulsory course in the Unhas K23 curriculum (introduced in 2023), which recognizes various extracurricular activities—such as organizational involvement, competitions, internships, and community service—as credit units (10–20 credits). The program is managed through the SIPAKAMASE system to enhance students’ soft skills and strengthen graduate profiles.
Through the internship at Harian FAJAR, Indonesian Literature students are expected to sharpen their practical skills in journalism and broaden their professional experience. (*)
