Integrating MineScape Software into the Mine Planning Capstone Design Course

The Department of Mining Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University (FT Unhas), has integrated MineScape software into its teaching and learning activities. This strategic initiative represents the implementation of the collaboration between FT Unhas and PT Datamine Software Indonesia in supporting the University's Tri Dharma (education, research, and community service). MineScape is now being utilized in the Mine Planning Capstone Design course. Through this project-based course, students use the software to process exploration data, develop coal reserve block models, and produce integrated mine designs. The adoption of this technology aims to equip students with practical skills that meet the standards of the mining industry. Through the provision of academic licenses by PT Datamine Software Indonesia, this collaboration is expected to enhance graduates' competencies and competitiveness.
