OUTSTANDING RESEARCH

THEMATIC RESEARCH GROUP
  1. The Bachelor’s Program in Geophysics has three Thematic Research Groups (TRGs) that serve as platforms for the development of scientific knowledge, research activities, and academic collaboration. These TRGs are designed to support flagship research aligned with national priorities and the characteristics of the Indonesian Maritime Continent. The Thematic Research Groups within the Master’s Program in Geophysics include:

    1. GLOHAMOD (Global Hazard Modeling Research Group), focusing on geophysical hazard studies, numerical modeling, and disaster risk mitigation.

    2. CLIMOD-RG (Climate-Based Modeling for Decision Research Group), focusing on climate-based modeling to support decision-making, including analyses of climate variability as well as atmosphere–ocean interactions and their impacts within the Indonesian Maritime Continent region.

    3. Earth Resources Management Research Group, emphasizing the application of geophysical methods in the exploration, management, and sustainable utilization of Earth resources.

The presence of these TRGs strengthens the integration of education and research and enhances the quality of scientific outputs of the Master’s Program in Geophysics.
