Hasanuddin University Mandarin Language and Culture Students Participate in International Student Volunteer Activities at Nanchang University

Nanchang, China, September–October 2025 — Approximately 40 international students participated in the International Student Volunteer Service Team program organized by the International Education College, Nanchang University, from September 1–5, 2025, and October 9–11, 2025. This program aims to develop social skills, foster a sense of responsibility, and provide opportunities for student volunteers from various countries to excel.

Four students from the Mandarin Language and Chinese Culture Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Hasanuddin University, participated as representatives of Hasanuddin University. Their participation added to the diversity of the participants' backgrounds and strengthened international ties among students from various parts of the world.

The volunteers were actively involved in various social and student activities, including helping new students adapt to campus life, maintaining cleanliness and order, providing health support and emergency assistance, and participating in cultural exchanges and major events such as the International Cultural Festival.

Through this activity, students not only contributed to the Nanchang University campus environment but also gained valuable experience in cross-cultural collaboration, global communication, and the development of leadership and social empathy.

One participant from Hasanuddin University (Unhas) shared their positive impressions of the activity.

"We feel proud to be part of an international community that helps and learns from each other. This program truly broadens our horizons and expands our network of international friends," said one of the Unhas student volunteers.

This international volunteer program provides a collaborative platform that strengthens relationships among international students and enriches their life experiences on campus. The participation of Unhas students in this activity demonstrates the university's commitment to continuously supporting global mobility and developing a generation of internationally competitive young people.
