IMSI KMFIB Hasanuddin University's 2026–2027 Executive Board Officially Inaugurated, Ananda Dina Cynthia Takes the Helm
MAKASSAR — The executive board of the Indonesian Literature Students Association (IMSI) under the Student Family of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (KMFIB), Hasanuddin University, for the 2026–2027 term was officially inaugurated at Mattulada Hall, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, on Friday (June 19, 2026). The new administration will be led by Ananda Dina Cynthia as Chair of IMSI KMFIB Hasanuddin University.
The inauguration was conducted by the Student Executive Board (BEM) of KMFIB Hasanuddin University and attended by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Dr. Ilham; the Head of the Department of Indonesian Literature, Dr. Dra. Muslimat, M.Hum.; the Department Secretary, Dr. Hj. Indarwati, S.S., M.Hum.; faculty members, representatives of student organizations, and students of the Department of Indonesian Literature.
Representing the Chair of BEM KMFIB, Nasri expressed his hope that the newly inaugurated board would continue to strengthen IMSI and make meaningful contributions to both the organization and its members.
"Congratulations to the new executive board. We hope this administration will bring positive improvements and make significant contributions to the organization," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Department of Indonesian Literature, Dr. Dra. Muslimat, M.Hum., emphasized the importance of collective leadership and maintaining strong communication between IMSI and the department.
According to her, IMSI is a well-established student organization with a long history and a mature organizational culture.
"IMSI is a highly mature organization. We hope it will continue to produce capable future leaders while demonstrating sound organizational management through well-planned programs and effective governance," she said.
She encouraged the new leadership to begin its tenure with careful preparation rather than viewing it as a learning stage, and to introduce innovative programs for the organization.
"The 2026–2027 executive board is no longer in the learning phase. They are individuals who are ready to lead and have already designed innovative programs.
Maintaining good communication with the department is also essential to producing outstanding graduates of Indonesian Literature," she added.
Muslimat also highlighted that organizational involvement plays an essential role in shaping students' character.
"Through student organizations, we learn to work with people of different personalities and backgrounds, not only within the classroom. Those experiences will become invaluable assets in the future," she explained.
She further encouraged the new board to build an inclusive organization where every student feels welcomed and appreciated.
"No one should ever feel excluded. Every member has an important role and can make valuable contributions to the organization," she said.
On the same occasion, Vice Dean I Dr. Ilham stated that the leadership transition marks the emergence of a new generation expected to bring fresh enthusiasm and strong competence in advancing the organization.
He also explained that participation in student organizations can now be converted into academic credits through the Competency Strengthening Course (MKPK) policy.
"Serving in student organizations can be converted into academic credits. When accumulated, these credits can significantly contribute to students' academic achievements. Participation in seminars and organizing committees can also be recognized," he explained.
Meanwhile, the newly elected Chair of IMSI KMFIB Hasanuddin University for the 2026–2027 term, Ananda Dina Cynthia, acknowledged the great responsibility entrusted to her. A member of the 2024 cohort, she pledged to carry out her duties wholeheartedly alongside the entire executive board.
"I realize that this responsibility is not a light one. However, I will carry it out with all my heart, and I hope we can work together to implement our programs in the coming year," she said.
Ananda also expressed her appreciation to the previous administration for its dedication and service to IMSI.
"The challenges ahead will certainly not be easy. Nevertheless, I believe we can overcome them together. I sincerely ask for the support and prayers of everyone so that this administration can fulfill its responsibilities successfully," she concluded. (*/)
