Lecturers and Professors of Indonesian Literature at Unhas Welcome Prof. I Ketut Sudewa in Benchmarking Visit from Udayana University’s Indonesian Literature Program
MAKASSAR – Lecturers and professors of the Department of Indonesian Literature, Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), Hasanuddin University (Unhas), warmly welcomed a benchmarking visit from representatives of the Indonesian Literature Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University, on Monday (February 23, 2026). The event, which began at 9:30 WITA, took place at the Department of Indonesian Literature Office, FIB Unhas.
Prior to the forum, Prof. Dr. Drs. I Ketut Sudewa, M.Hum., was received directly by the Dean of FIB Unhas, Prof. Dr. Andi Muhammad Akhmar, S.S., M.Hum., in the Dean’s Office. The meeting then continued at the Department of Indonesian Literature, where he was welcomed by Vice Dean I of FIB Unhas, Dr. Ilham, M.Hum., along with the Head of the Department of Indonesian Literature, Dr. Dra. Muslima, M.Hum., and senior professors of Indonesian Literature.
The forum served as a platform for sharing experiences and discussing curriculum development as well as strategies to strengthen study programs. Both parties exchanged ideas on innovative teaching methods, research enhancement, and efforts to improve graduate competitiveness at national and international levels.
Prof. I Ketut Sudewa expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome from Unhas. “Thank you very much for the hospitality. We deliberately visited Unhas to directly observe the management and development of the study program, while also exchanging ideas,” he said.
He further noted that Unhas, as one of the largest universities in Eastern Indonesia, has established many best practices in academic management that can serve as valuable references for the development of the Indonesian Literature Study Program.
Meanwhile, FIB Unhas welcomed the visit as part of strengthening inter-institutional networks and reaffirming its commitment to improving the quality of higher education, particularly in the fields of literature and culture. This benchmarking activity is expected to foster sustainable collaboration between the two institutions in curriculum development, research, and other academic initiatives. (*)
