Intended Learning Outcomes

According to Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Regulation Number 53 of 2023, graduate learning outcomes, known as CPL, are formulated from the Graduate Competency Standards (SKL), which refer to the minimum criteria for the integrated competencies of attitudes, skills, and knowledge that demonstrate students’ achievements as a result of their learning at the end of a higher education program.

After considering the vision and mission of the university, the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework, developments in science and technology, workplace competency needs, the scientific field of the study program, the main competencies of graduates, and the curricula of similar study programs, the Veterinary Paramedic Study Program has established nine Graduate Learning Outcomes.

CPL2Emphasis on knowledge related to animal healthGraduates are able to apply theoretical concepts of animal care and animal health management, including laboratory testing, use of veterinary tools and instruments, and handling animal reproduction, under the supervision of a veterinarian.
CPL3Emphasis on knowledge related to veterinary public healthGraduates are able to apply theoretical concepts in veterinary public health management and food safety assurance of animal origin, including laboratory testing and the use of veterinary public health tools and instruments, under the supervision of a veterinarian.
CPL4Emphasis on general skills related to other peopleGraduates are able to build and maintain professional relationships with clients, veterinarians, veterinary paramedic colleagues, and business partners, by demonstrating the ability to adapt to changing situations, to solve problems in the world of work, the business world, and/or to continue studies to a higher level or obtain a professional competency certificate.
CPL5Emphasis on general skills related to animals and animal productsGraduates are able to make decisions to solve problems procedurally related to animal health management and animal product safety assurance based on the results of systematic information and data analysis, using appropriate technological tools and intellectual abilities to think independently and critically as lifelong learners.
CPL6Emphasis on the specific skills required by the veterinary nurse graduate profileGraduates are able to care for and manage the health of aquatic and terrestrial animals, with an emphasis on animal welfare, reproductive management, biosecurity, and occupational health and safety, appropriately, safely, and professionally under the supervision of a veterinarian, and comply with the professional code of ethics including maintaining the confidentiality of patient medical records.
CPL7Emphasis on the specific skills required by the veterinary technician graduate profileGraduates are able to use, maintain, and develop veterinary instruments in the field and laboratory, including in the analysis of biological materials, feed, and environmental samples, for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in the field of veterinary paramedicine accurately, safely, and professionally under the supervision of a veterinarian.
CPL8Emphasis on the specific skills required by the entrepreneurial graduate profileGraduates are able to implement the entrepreneurial spirit by identifying market needs, finding business opportunities, generating new ideas, and running a business with leadership skills that include human resource management, risk management, and resilience in facing difficult situations.
CPL9Emphasis on specific communication skillsGraduates are able to communicate orally and in writing, both in the form of medical communication and scientific reports, effectively, accurately, professionally, and can be understood by clients, colleagues, and other interested parties.
