Acceleration of Fisheries Quality: TAPPP Study Program, Hasanuddin University Faculty of Vocational Studies, and BPPMHKP Makassar Officially Establish Strategic Partnership
The Aquaculture Technology and Fisheries Post-Harvest Study Program of the Faculty of Vocational Studies, Hasanuddin University (Unhas), officially strengthened its strategic collaboration with the Center for Control and Supervision of Marine and Fisheries Product Quality (BPPMHKP) Makassar through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement on Tuesday, 31 March 2026. This initiative was undertaken to reinforce the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, focusing on the control and supervision of marine product quality in South Sulawesi.
The signing ceremony was carried out by the Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Studies, Unhas, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Muh. Restu, MP, together with the Acting Head of BPPMHKP Makassar, Mohammad Zamrud, S.Pi., M.P. The event was also witnessed by the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of the Faculty of Vocational Studies, Prof. Dr. Ida Leida Maria, S.KM., M.KM., M.Sc.PH, as well as the Head of the Aquaculture Technology and Fisheries Post-Harvest Study Program, Dr. Ir. Hasni Yulianti Azis, MP.
Also present from BPPMHKP Makassar were Karwit, S.Pi (Head of Managerial Support Team), Muhammad Irfan Rais, S.Pi (Head of Standards Implementation and Quality Methods Team for Marine and Fisheries Products), and Muhammad Arman, S.A.P (Human Resources Analyst). This synergy specifically aims to enhance curriculum development and graduate quality in line with the needs of the national fisheries industry.
Under the agreement, both parties committed to involving experts from BPPMHKP as practitioner lecturers to provide students with up-to-date regulatory insights. In addition, the collaboration includes student internship programs, public lectures, and joint research initiatives aimed at improving the competitiveness of local fisheries products. This partnership is expected to produce highly competent, innovative, and contributive human resources for the advancement of Indonesia’s marine and fisheries sector.
