Department of Geophysics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Hasanuddin University Receives LAMSAMA Accreditation Assistance
Makassar, July 13, 2026 – The Department of Geophysics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Hasanuddin University, received an accreditation assistance visit from the Independent Accreditation Agency for Natural Sciences and Formal Sciences (LAMSAMA). Held on Monday, July 13, 2026, this activity formed part of the Department's preparation for the study programme accreditation process as an effort to continuously enhance and assure the quality of higher education.
The activity involved faculty and department leaders, the accreditation document preparation team, lecturers, and administrative staff. Throughout the programme, discussions and evaluations were conducted on various accreditation criteria, including governance, institutional management, human resources, learning processes, research, community service, academic outcomes, and the internal quality assurance system.
During the assistance programme, the LAMSAMA team provided constructive feedback and recommendations regarding both the accreditation documents and the implementation of quality assurance standards. The activity also served as an opportunity for the Department of Geophysics to identify its strengths while refining areas that require further improvement to ensure compliance with LAMSAMA accreditation standards.
