Visit by BPS to the Department of Statistics for Preparation of Pojok Statistik Monitoring and Evaluation

The Department of Statistics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Hasanuddin University, received a visit from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. The meeting took place at the Unhas Statistics Corner (Pojok Statistika) as part of coordination to prepare for the monitoring and evaluation of the Pojok Statistik Program.
This activity served as a coordination forum between BPS and the Department of Statistics to discuss readiness for the monitoring and evaluation of Pojok Statistik. The discussion covered the implementation of the program to date, the completeness of administration and documentation, and various aspects that need to be prepared to support the evaluation process.
During the meeting, both parties also discussed the role of Pojok Statistik as a means of education, consultation, and data services for students and the academic community. The presence of Pojok Statistik is expected to enhance understanding of official statistical data while also supporting the use of data in education, research, and community service activities.
This coordination also provided an opportunity to identify areas that still need improvement and development. The results of the discussion will serve as the basis for preparing the monitoring and evaluation process and strengthening the sustainability of the Pojok Statistik Program at Hasanuddin University.
This activity supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 17, Partnerships for the Goals. The collaboration between BPS and the Department of Statistics reflects the importance of inter-institutional partnerships in improving statistical literacy, expanding the use of data, and supporting evidence-based decision-making.
Through this activity, the Department of Statistics and BPS are expected to continue strengthening coordination and cooperation in managing Pojok Statistik. This synergy is part of the effort to provide data services that are more accessible, educational, and beneficial to the academic community.
