PRESS RELEASE: USM & UNHAS INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY COMMUNITY PROGRAMME 2026 – 1st Kick-off Meeting

Makassar, 22 June 2026 – The Department of Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Hasanuddin University (UNHAS), in collaboration with Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), held its first online meeting to discuss the International Mobility Community Programme 2026. The online meeting was attended by Dr Arjun Khalid (USM), Prof Gita Susanti, Head of the Master’s Programme in Public Administration, Andi Ahmad Yani, M.Si., MPA., MSc., Nuralamsyah Ismail, S.Sos., MA, Sri Nurindah Sari Arsyad, S.Sos., M.AP., as well as several Master’s students in Public Administration from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at UNHAS. The meeting discussed plans for implementing an international mobility programme based on community engagement using a blended mobility scheme. The programme is scheduled to begin with an online session starting on 10 August 2026, followed by field activities from late August to early September 2026 in Makassar and the surrounding area. This programme is designed to strengthen international collaboration whilst providing hands-on learning experiences through community service activities, such as community identification, interactions within school environments, mangrove conservation, dialogue with coastal communities, and presentations of community programme outcomes.
