The Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) of Hasanuddin University officially held the Kick-Off for the 2026 Student Creativity Program (PKM) through a PKM workshop on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the Prof. Mattulada Hall, FIB Unhas. This activity marked the beginning of FIB students' preparations to develop competitive PKM proposals to secure funding and potentially qualify for PIMNAS 2026.
The event was attended by the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Ilham, S.S., M.Hum., lecturers from the FIB Student Affairs Team, students from various study programs, and student representatives from the Mandarin Language and Chinese Culture Study Program (BMKT). The presence of BMKT students provided additional encouragement and demonstrated the active involvement of various FIB study programs in developing student creativity and innovation.
In his remarks, Dr. Ilham expressed his appreciation for the achievements of several FIB student teams that successfully secured PKM funding in 2025, despite not qualifying for PIMNAS. He emphasized that this experience serves as important motivation to improve the quality of their proposals and student readiness for the coming year.
The PKM workshop featured experienced speakers who guided students on proposal development strategies, tips for developing creative ideas, and ways to increase their chances of passing the selection process. Interactive discussion sessions provided students with the opportunity to delve deeper into the technical aspects and challenges of developing PKM. The presence of BMKT students also provided perspectives on innovation and creativity that can be developed through cross-study program collaboration.
The 2026 FIB PKM Kick-Off is expected to be a strategic momentum to build a culture of innovation, collaboration, and prepare FIB Unhas students for PKM. With the support of lecturers, intensive mentoring, and the active participation of BMKT students, FIB is optimistic about advancing more teams to PIMNAS 2026 and achieving impressive achievements for the faculty.
