Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Hasanuddin University's 65th Anniversary Series Affirms Commitment to Cultural and National Values

Makassar, December 7, 2025 — The Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Hasanuddin University, celebrated its 65th anniversary with a series of activities under the theme "Nationality and Culture within the Framework of Greater Indonesia." Various academic, cultural, and student activities highlighted this year's event, involving faculty, students, alumni, and the academic community of Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Hasanuddin University.

The event began with a National Dialogue on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 1:00 PM WITA (Central Indonesian Time) at the A.P. Pettarani Building. This session featured speakers who discussed the dynamics of Indonesian nationality from a cultural perspective and emphasized the importance of the younger generation's role in maintaining national identity. In the afternoon, the event continued with a Cultural Camp held in the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Hasanuddin University's Teak Forest area, featuring art performances, traditional games, and cultural discussions that fostered interaction among students from across study programs.

On Sunday, December 7, 2025, the Anniversary program continued with a Fun Walk and Study Program Exhibition in the courtyard of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Hasanuddin University (FIB). The Rector of Hasanuddin University officially opened the Fun Walk, which was attended by participants from various academic communities. At the study program exhibition, the Mandarin Language and Chinese Culture Study Program (BMKT) booth won second place for the best booth category, thanks to its creative presentation and engaging presentation.

In the afternoon, the event continued with a Film Workshop with renowned director Riri Riza in the Prof. Mattulada Hall, Hasanuddin University (FIB). This workshop provided students with knowledge and inspiration about the creative process behind filmmaking and the role of cinema in constructing Indonesian cultural narratives.

This year's Anniversary celebrations also included door prizes for Fun Walk participants. The grand prize, a motorcycle, was won by a student of the Mandarin Language and Chinese Culture Study Program (BMKT), adding to the pride of the entire study program community. With a variety of educational and inspiring activities, the 65th Anniversary of FIB Unhas serves as a crucial opportunity to strengthen national spirit and celebrate cultural richness within the academic environment.
