Unhas–Nanchang University 2+2 Joint Degree Program Leads BMKT Study Program to Academic Reward
Makassar, November 14, 2025 — The Mandarin Language and Chinese Culture (BMKT) Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Hasanuddin University, received an award from the Academic and Student Affairs Division of Unhas for its success in establishing and implementing a 2+2 joint degree program with Nanchang University, China. This award was given to eight study programs that successfully implemented the degree program by 2025.
The award ceremony was held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the Unhas Hotel Ballroom and was attended by university leaders, heads of the award-winning study programs, and representatives from the Directorate of Educational Transformation and Learning Innovation. This event served as a token of appreciation from the university and as an encouragement for study programs to continue developing international collaborations.
On this occasion, the award for the BMKT Study Program was presented directly by the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs (WR-1) of Hasanuddin University to the Head of the Mandarin Language and Chinese Culture Study Program. This award marks BMKT's success in implementing the Unhas-Nanchang University 2+2 joint degree program, where students study two years at Unhas and two years at Nanchang University to earn a joint degree.
This joint degree program is one of the BMKT Study Program's strategic steps to strengthen internationalization, improve the quality of learning, and open up opportunities for cross-border academic experiences for students. Through the 2+2 joint degree program, students have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of Mandarin language and culture directly, while also experiencing the educational atmosphere at one of the best universities in China.
This achievement is expected to encourage the BMKT Study Program to continue expanding its international collaboration network, improving the quality of its graduates, and contributing to realizing Unhas' vision of becoming a globally reputable university.
