FIB Unhas Professor of Cultural Anthropology Attends National Symposium of Humanities Professors at Universitas Indonesia
DEPOK — Prof. Dr. A. B. Takko Bandung, M.Hum., Professor of Cultural Anthropology at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas), attended the National Symposium of Humanities Professors, held from August 11–13, 2026, at the Poerbatjaraka Building Auditorium, Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia (UI), Depok.
The national symposium provides an academic forum for professors to engage in discussions and exchange ideas on the development of the humanities and their contributions to addressing various challenges facing society today and in the future.
The event brought together professors from a wide range of humanities disciplines, including History, Philosophy, Linguistics, Literary Studies, Archaeology, Regional Studies, Library and Information Science, Cultural Studies, Cultural Anthropology, and other fields within the humanities.
At the symposium, Prof. Dr. A. B. Takko Bandung contributed to the academic forum by presenting a paper entitled “Model Welenrengnge: Local Cultural Conservation in the Digital Era through The Alena Approach: Reaffirming the Role of the Humanities for the Future.”
